Netball Kapiti is seeking applications from interested coaches to become involved in coaching our representative teams for 2025.
Positions within our Representative Team Management are a pathway opportunity for all coaches and managers wishing to further their coaching careers and for those wishing to give back to the netball community at Centre level. We provide an exciting chance to work alongside other experienced individuals while learning from each other. Roles are in a volunteer capacity yet provide a fantastic opportunity to further develop yourself.
We are currently seeking Lead & Assistant Coach applications for the following teams:
U14
U16
U18

- Consent to police check for successful candidates or proof of one completed in past 12 months.
- Be available to attend an interview for the position if required.
- Be available to attend meeting/s prior to and after trials as required.
- Be available to attend a debrief at the end of the season.

NETBALL KAPITI COACH PATHWAY - FOR ALL PRIMARY, COLLEGE AND CLUB COACHES

Level One Coach Program
New to Coaching Netball or wanting a bit more confidence - Level One Coach Program will provide new and beginner coaches with the following learning outcomes, and enhance the knowledge of those coaches that just want a bit of guidance.
- Demonstrates a good understanding of the game of netball and all rules associated with the game, including umpire protocols.
- Demonstrates a good understanding of all elements of the NetballSmart Dynamic Warm-up.
- Demonstrates a good understanding of basic netball skills.
- Demonstrates confident techniques to communicate with their team, using different feedback styles and understands the effect feedback has on the player.
- Identifies coachable moments quickly and adapts activities when needed for teams and individual players.
- Understands the purpose and delivery of team talks.
Participants completing the Level One Coach Program will receive upon completion:
Primary Level Coach - Year 7 & 8 Coach Resource OR;
College Level Coach (Year 9 & 10) - NNZ Year 9 & 10 Coach Resource OR;
College Level Coach (Year 11 to 13) and Club Coach - NNZ Community Coach Resource

Dates: Tuesday Evenings 6pm - 8pm 25th Feb to 1st April 2025
Cost: $60.00 per Coach

SUMMER TWILIGHT COMPETITION 2024
​​​​​​​We had our finals night Thursday 5th December. A great night was had by all and there were some great games played out on court.
Congratulations to all of the teams that made finals and especially to those that won their games.
Thank you to all of our centre umpires that volunteered their time to umpire each week, you guys were amazing and I know those teams that struggled for umpires appreciated you all.
Thank you too all of the teams that registered for twlight it was pleasure having you here. Look out for the details on the February - March season which will be coming out on our facebook page and website in the next few weeks.

MONDAY 4TH NOVEMBER TO MONDAY 2ND DECEMBER
What a great little program this was , we hope that everyone that participated had an great time and learnt some skills that will grow a love for netball. It was fantastic seeing you all here every week and hearing the laughter and fun being had by you all.
A massive "Thank You" to Dee Ashby for leading this program and to Kate Agar and Julia Capon for being amazing Star Helpers.
